Calcium Carbonate is a a ternary ionic compound with the formula CaCO3. Calcium Carbonate is used to produce iron and steel and reduce the acidity in soil. It is also used in the making of roads and cement. Additionally, Calcium carbonate is used as an antacid in order to alleviate stomach aches, heartburn, etc.
