Carbonic acid - The formula is H2CO3. It is an acid because it has hydrogen in it.
Carbonic acid is used very often in our lives, because it's in every soft drink! Carbonic acid is the carbonated water in soda. Carbonic acid is also one of the things that help transport oxygen and carbon dioxide in your body. It keeps your PH level normal by giving up its hydrogen atoms.

    If carbonic acid in pop keeps your pH levels normal then is it really as bad as they say?
