Nate Neeley-Sodium Flouride

Nate Neeley

Sodium Fluoride-NaF-This is a binary ionic compound for the reason that it is made of only two elements. It is made of one metal and one non-metal

Sodium Fluoride is used constantly in our everyday lives, at least twice a day actually. It is in toothpaste which we use to brush our teeth because the sodium fluoride coats the teeth and attracts strengthening minerals to the teeth because of the fluorine in it. We cannot swallow it though because it is poisonous, which is a reason that it is also used in many pesticides.
